The Christian life is the promise of God’s faithful provision for his children. It is not, however, the promise of a life without grief. On the contrary, the scriptures promise that the Christian life will be marked by trials and tribulations on this side of eternity. Our hearts as Christians should expect grief as the norm, and not be surprised by pain and suffering in this life. Dr. Mohler discusses this issue with his dear friend, Dr. J. Ligon Duncan.
