A Secular Holiday: Thankful for…What?

What is it that an atheist has to be thankful for?  In the immediate, a person without Christ can be thankful for many things, assuming that the blessings of this life are only ‘good luck.’  But in the end, no one is ‘lucky’ enough to completely escape pain and death.  There are very permanent things in this life, both good and bad, that cause one to pause and question where good things come from.  On today’s program, Dr. Mohler notes that the source of all thankfulness is found in God and his gift to us in Jesus Christ.  The Christian worldview reveals the true source of blessing and thankfulness in this life: God’s goodness in sending his Son to a people so deeply in need of him.
